Business Information Consultant-ETL Developer
Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and in office one to two days per week). Ideal candidates will live within 50 miles of one of our Pulse Point locations in Chicago, IL or Atlanta, GA.
The Business Information Consultant-ETL Developer is responsible for serving as an expert in data analysis, reporting and formulating recommendations and providing guidance to other data analysts.
How you will make an impact:
Creates and maintains databases to track business performance.
Analyzes data and summarizes performance using summary statistical procedures.
Develops and analyzes business performance reports (e.g. for claims data, provider data, utilization data) and provides notations of performance deviations and anomalies.
Creates and publishes periodic reports, as well as any necessary ad hoc reports.
Manages business issues and devises best ways to develop appropriate diagnostic and/or tracking data that will translate business requirements into usable decision support tools.
Makes recommendations based upon data analysis.
Provides analytic consultation to other business areas, leadership or external customers.
Manages data analysis and reporting that will encompass a much higher level of complexity.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a BS/BA degree in related field and a minimum of 5 years of experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:
Experience with relational databases and knowledge of query tools and statistical software strongly preferred.
Ability to manipulate large sets of data strongly preferred.
Minimum of 2 years hands-on experience with Cloud Technologies like AWS, GCP or Azure preferred.
Minimum of 4 years hands-on experience with ETL Tool: DataStage, SSIS or similar technologies preferred.
Strong SQL and analytical skills preferred.
Experience developing APIs preferred.
Hands-on experience in designing and implementing data pipelines in cloud platforms preferred.
In-depth knowledge of various core AWS services such as IAM, Cloud Formation, EC2, S3, ECS, EMR/Spark, SQS, SNS, Glue suite-ETL job, Data Catalog, Crawler, Data sync, Cloud Health, CloudWatch, Lambda, Athena, Quicksight, DMS and Redshift preferred
Experience working with relational databases including Oracle, SQL Server, T-SQL scripts and stored procedures preferred.
Experience working in event driven architecture preferred.
Hands-on experience working with JSON and RabbitMQ preferred.
Experience working with Sybase and MongoDB preferred.
Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills preferred.
