Broker Relations Representative II

Location: This position will work in a hybrid model (remote and office). The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health Pulse Point locations.

Compensation: Base Salary + Sales Incentive

The Broker Relations Rep II is responsible for planning, directing, and controlling resources and efforts in support of assigned external national broker agencies/agents in maximizing sales of individual Affordable Care Act (ACA) products.

How you will make an impact:

  • Establishes and maintains a business relationship and works strategically with assigned brokers in achieving annual sales targets by state, region, and national.

  • Develop and implement programs to achieve sales goals by utilizing and enhancing resources to implement those strategies.

  • Maintains a strong market presence in assigned regions and supports other national brokers.

  • Formulates and defines business development strategies for assigned brokers by states/regions to increase market penetration and grow the book of business.

  • Works directly with national broker agency principals on general relationship building, sales strategy development, marketing tactics, and sales execution.

  • Monitors overall performance as well as the performance of specific agents, territories, or markets.

  • Partners with specific downline agents on sales readiness, tactical strategies, support, and execution.

  • Coordinates complex broker compensation and incentive systems nationally.

  • Works across markets and enterprise sales support teams in providing tactical leadership when working with assigned brokers as well as providing mentoring/training to deepen the team’s competency in broker management skills.

  • Serves as a sales executive and key point of contact.

  • Travels to broker and agency sites as well as other meetings as necessary.

Minimum Requirements

  • Requires a BA/BS and a minimum of 7 years of industry sales/broker management experience in the healthcare industry as well as a minimum of 2 years of experience in ACA; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

  • Active and current Life and Health Insurance state license required in the state of origin.

Preferred Experience, Skills, and Capabilities

  • Cross-functional leadership experience, preferred.

  • Experience interacting confidently with senior management and executive level stakeholders, as a subject matter expert and comfortable with influencing decision-making preferred.

  • Excellent written, oral, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills strongly preferred.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite highly preferred.

For candidates working in person or remotely in the below location(s), the salary* range for this specific position is $72,492 to 113,916.

Locations: Colorado; New York; Nevada
