Elevance Health Direct Sales Agent in CINCINNATI, Ohio

Title: Direct Sales Agent

Location: This position will work a remote model. Ideal candidates will live within 50 miles of one of our PulsePoint locations.

In this role, you will primarily work remotely from your home with flexibility to work in the office as needed. There may also be times you would be expected to go into the office for training, IT issues, team meetings or engagement activities.

The Direct Sales Agent will be responsible for selling Individual Under 65 products telephonically and providing high level customer service.

  • Ensures sales goals are met.

  • Sells company products in a professional and consultative manner.

  • Provides thorough and effective customer service.

  • Provides timely and accurate responses to all customers.

  • Provides customers with oral and written information as well as a detailed quote on the company plans and services.

  • Maintains comprehensive working knowledge of all company products and services.

  • Studies competitive products and related industry issues and maintains a personal awareness of competitive advantages and disadvantages.

  • Optimizes closing opportunities utilizing all sales tools and skills available.

  • Completes accurate documentation maintains records and updates database documentation of all activities during the sales cycle.

  • Ensures accurate documentation of leads and sales received from all sources.

  • Maintains record keeping system and ensures all business is tracked throughout the underwriting process.

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma

  • Minimum of 2 years of sales experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

  • Must have and maintain Life and Health Agent license.

  • Must maintain appropriate license required by the Department of Insurance to sell Medical, Dental and Life products in all states served by the Company's Direct Sales.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Health insurance industry experience preferred.

  • Salesforce experience preferred.

  • Minimum of 1 year of call center experience preferred.

  • Schedule can change depending on sales ranking. Must be able to work 8-hour shift between business hours 8am - 10pm EST strongly preferred.

  • Must provide your resident state insurance license strongly preferred.

  • Bilingual (Spanish) strongly preferred
