The Director Network Development for the New Jersey Market is responsible for network development and reimbursement strategy for provider contract negotiations for all market lines of business including, but not limited to, Medicaid, Medicare, MLTSS, and Behavioral Health.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Oversees contracting (negotiations and renegotiations) and maintenance to include hospitals, ASCs, MLTSS and Behavioral Health providers

• Develops innovative ways to maintain a cost effective network with adequate access and positive working relationships with providers. Includes development and management of market cost of care initiatives

• Ensures compliance with network regulatory and accreditation standards with development and execution of network strategy

• Interaction with state regulators required for meetings, reporting, audits, etc.

• Aligns contracting strategy with medical management and quality strategy. Integrates quality metrics and incentives into contracting process.

• Attracts, develops and manages key contracting and servicing staff.

• Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.

Requirements

BS/BA degree in business administration or related healthcare field and a minimum of 8 years provider contracting, healthcare operations, finance, underwriting, actuary, network development and sales experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Education, Skills, and Experiences

• MPH or MBA degree.

• Market knowledge.

• Ability to work with matrix partners within cross-functional teams.

• Hospital or large facility contracting experience.

• Value-based contracting a plus.

• Experience directly managing a team of operations and/or service associates.

• Ability to multi-task and must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and with direction

For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $153,548 to $240,336.

Locations: Jersey City, NJ and New York City, NY
